Saint Clair Wines Wines Trophies At International Competitions 9 September 2005
Saint Clair has just received international trophy and gold medal success at a number of international wine competitions reinforcing this winery’s growing reputation for the consistent production of award-winning wines.

International Wine Challenge 2005
Saint Clair Doctor’s Creek Pinot Noir 2003 has been awarded the trophy for the Best New Zealand Red Wine at the International Wine Challenge held in London. This is the first trophy award to a Saint Clair Reserve Pinot Noir and rewards the expert viticulture knowledge of the best sites for Pinot Noir in Marlborough as well as the developmental work of the winemaking team with this variety. www.wineint.com

International Wine and Spirit Competition 2005
The company’s flagship brand, Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2004, has also just been awarded a gold medal and trophy at the International Wine and Spirits Competition for the top Sauvignon Blanc of the show. For the second year in a row Saint Clair has been nominated as New Zealand Wine Producer of the Year at this competition. (To be announced on 1 November 2005 in London) www.iwsc.net

Mondial du Pinot Noir (MPN) Sierre, Switzerland
Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Pinot Noir 2003 won a gold medal last month at the prestigious Mondial du Pinot Noir (MPN). This show has now established a solid reputation amongst the major international wine contests and this year 40 international wine tasters gathered for the Mondial du Pinot Noir to taste more than 1100 wines from 18 countries. www.globalwinespirits.com

Tri-Nations Wine Awards
Wines from New Zealand, South Africa and Australia recently competed in the
Tri-Nations Wine Competition with Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay 2003 winning Champion Wine in its category at a function in Sydney last month.
