Marlborough
is New Zealand’s wine capital. Not only is
Marlborough
the best known wine region, it is also the largest
wine producing region. Marlborough and in a large
part New Zealand’s international reputation
has been driven by the world leading Sauvignon Blanc

scene, the growing reputation of Marlborough Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rieslings,
Pinot Gris and Méthode sparkling has been unfairly overshadowed.
Wine is not the only gem to be found in Marlborough,
it is a gourmet’s paradise with world class
olive oil, seafood, and fruit and vegetables all
being produced in the region. Being surrounded
by mountains on three sides and the sea on the
other, it also has haven for outdoor activities.
