Nelson is one of the fastest
growing wine regions in New Zealand. Located at the top of the South Island
next to New Zealand’s largest wine region Marlborough, Nelson is
often overshadowed. Yet the region has shown it can produce Chardonnay,
Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling that is equal to any produced
in New Zealand.
The Nelson wine trail could be considered to
be one of the best in the country due to scenic
countryside and spectacular settings of wineries
throughout the region. The region has some of
New Zealand’s most beautiful coastal scenery.
There is also any abundance of excellent restaurants
and accommodation options.
