has some of New Zealand’s most prime farming
country. Yet there are only relatively small grape
plantings in the region. The region has numerous
top-class accommodation options and elegant restaurants.
Waikato is separated from the Auckland region
by the Bombay Hills in the north, and reaches
down to Taupo in the south.
